Ruth, Happy Birthday! Ruth celebrated her 108th birthday by going on a ride with her daughter and friends to see the town where she raised her children 3/4 of a century ago. Following the ride Ruth returned to the nursing home, where she has been living since her 101st birthday, to have cake and ice cream with staff, family and the residents. Annie, her favorite nurse comes in on her day off of work to attend the party.
Ruth is proud to be 108! She is an active member of the nursing home community. Cribbage with her daughter is played at least 3 times a week. Bowling and bingo are other activities Ruth enjoys. She is a big people watcher and loves to sit by the window to see what it happening outside.
Ruth's trick to longevity is 3 pieces a bacon a day along with a positive attitude!
